Sophie Moureto, is a French girl passionate about fashion, travel, nature, and the retro, fun aesthetic of the 70’s. After a year-long world tour at 24, and four months of road-trip around Central America ten years later, she draws inspiration from her encounters, discoveries, and her constant search for the sun and “good vibes” around the world. With a background in fashion and retail, notably with ZIMMERMANN and Condé Nast, Sophie developed expertise in brand identity creation, boutique, and project management.
Through SOLOR, she aims to spread a bright, sunny, and joyful energy, connect people, and build a unique community: the Solor Gang. SOLOR is the reflection of her vision: a retro, fun, and authentic world inspired by her travels, designed to bring sunshine into people’s lives through timeless collections and a memorable experience.
The story behind Solor : After living in Paris and holding a high-responsibility position, Sophie decided to leave everything behind to start a new life and nothing better to get inspired again than to travel. In January 2024, she traveled to Hawaii. Everything there inspired her: the lifestyle, the surf culture, the sun, the sunsets, and especially the innovative spots combining food and fun clothing with a cool surf vibe.
Enchanted, Sophie wondered, “Why not bring this concept to Europe?” The SOLOR project began to take shape. During 4 months in Central America, she nurtured her idea, drawing inspiration from the beaches, tropical atmospheres, and sunny environments.
Back in Europe, one question remained: “Where should SOLOR be located?” To find the answer, she bought a van and spent 3 months exploring the Atlantic coast, from Hossegor in France to Portugal and Andalusia, visiting iconic surf spots and seaside towns. The instant connection was made with Tarifa, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. This mythical and inspiring place became the cradle of SOLOR, where Sophie settled in to bring her vision to life and inject new energy into the project.
